A poem from Halina Poswiatowska, Polish Poet and writer. She is one of the most important figures in modern Polish literature.

She died at 32 after a second heart operation to correct a heart defect that limited her mobility and breathing, which she acquired when she fell ill as a child during the World War II. Nazi occupation of Poland.

you ask – what camels haul in their saddle-bags

they carry my heart across the desert
since you left me
I remain alone
under the yellow sun
the earth is scorched and human hearts are
hollow the source of tenderness beats not for me
sometimes I see you
but with my outstretched arms
touch only
my thought about you
you ask – what camels haul in their saddle-bags
they carry my heart across the desert

Halina Poswiatowska

Develer ne taşır heybelerinde diye sorarsın ya,

benim kalbimdir taşıdıkları çöl boyunca..

beni terk ettiğinden beri

yalnızım

sarı güneşin altında

yeryüzü kavrulmuş ve insan yürekleri boşlukta ,

şefkat kaynağı benim için çarpmaz..

Bazı zamanlar seni görürüm

lakin olabildiğimce gerdiğim kollarımla

ancak aklımdaki sana uzanırım

ve sorarsın ya develer ne taşır heybelerinde

işte benim kalbimdir taşıdıkları çöl boyunca..

Translated by me

Vakıfbank, who has not lost a single game this season, crowned its extraordinary run by wiping out their Azeri rivals 25-17, 25-20 and 25-23.

Quoting ümitli

I thought I was ready to learn beyond the subject-object-verb structure... But now after seeing these explanations (which are truly well-done and simple), I think my boyfriend will have to cope with me speaking like a young child in his language for a while longer...

Ümitli, In fact, all languages are simple. As its said in the previous posts, look at the babies, kids ; they learn without thinking all those damn structures , they learn by practicing with their mothers !! So, What I suggest you is that just ask your boy friend to talk to you in Turkish all the time !! and in the end You will automatically learn those structures

Don´t worry , I understand your confusion Nemanja. Calling eachother " Hoca" is still  popular among University Students. I mean, In Turkiye, especially in University students call eachother " Hocam" [my teacher]

In my first day at University,  someone approached and asked me the time saying " Hocam saatin kaç ? " [My teacher , what time is it ? ] I was bit upset as I thought , I looked old so they call me as "Hoca" , but then I found out that all students call eachother as "Hocam" .

Do you have such adressing word among students in Serbia ? or anywhere in the world I just wonder
