In Turkish because of some sound changes and constant usages  [frequency in usage] some words gradually became "one word" form.

Such as ;

ne + için —> niçin

ne + asıl —> nasıl

 ne + asıl + ise  --> nasılsa

 o + ise —> oysa

 o + ile —> öyle

 o + ile + ise —> öyleyse

 bu + ile + ise —> böyleyse

sütlü + aş  ------> sütlaç

kahve + altı -----> kahvaltı

Quoting Efi70

Vona,you spoke logicaly. Many people -not only Turkish ofcourse-are afraid of historic truth and facts. But history cannot change ...we can tell lies to ourselves but deep inside us we all know the events. Even ancient and Byzantium  ruins can talk. As a grand-daughter of Minor Asian Greeks i have heard many stories about that land. I respect Turkish people and i hope to respect me in return..and i really wish both nations forget and forgive each others in order to moove on peacefully. Maybe iam a dreamer...but i really want that day to come...

Gelin kardeş olalım
İşi kolay kılalım
Sevelim sevilelim
Dünya kimseye kalmaz

Yunus Emre

Both nations have so much common things, Its bloody politicians that has been brainwashing people to create enmity between Turk and Greek nations.

Translation of some Iranian proverbs.

- Arapça bir dildir, Farsça yemeğin sonunda yenen tatlı, Türkçeyse sanat.

  Arabic  is a language, Persian is an afters [dessert eaten after meal] but Turkish is an art.

Aşk klavuz istemez, tek başına yol alır.

    Love needs no guide, it moves on its own [way].

- Aynadaki görüntünü beğenmiyorsan; aynayı değil kendini değiştir.

  If you don´t like your look on the mirror, don´t change the mirror but change yourself.

- Cahil dostun olacağına, akıllı düşmanın olsun.

   It´s better having a clever enemy than having an ignorant friend.

- Hayatta açlıktan sonra yalnızlık gelir.

  "Loneliness" is the worst thing in life after "hunger".

- İki kere düşün, bir kere yaz.

  Think twice and write once. [or ; Write after thinking twice]

- Sabır acı kökleri, fakat çok tatlı meyveleri olan bir ağaçtır.

  Patience is like a tree which has bitter roots but sweet fruits.

- Arının yuvasını yıkan, balın tatlılığıdır.

What destroys the beehive is the sweetness of  honey.

- Bilge kişi bilgeliği arar, akılsız kişi onu bulduğunu düşünür.

The wise man looks for a wisdom but foolish man thinks he already found it [wisdom].

SPIRITUAL  BEINGS IN ANCIENT  TURKS

In  Ancient Turkish Belief System , Gods were considered as supreme power and creator. They were given personalities.  Masculine Gods were described  as " Han"

                                                              Feminine Gods  were described  as " Hanım"

Or they both could be described with a name  ---> " Toyun"

Although they  [Gods] took shape in a human  body , their Godly side was always stronger.  The difference between Ancient Turkish belief system and western Polytheism was ; In Turkish belief all the Gods  [except one] were more like " protecting spirits. " .

However, Kayra Han" was the only exception. This God was considered as an abstract and absolute creator.

There was no "Angel" concept in ancient Turkish culture. If there was, it wouldn´t have been wrong to call all other Gods -except "Kayra Han" - as angels.

In fact, when I think of it, we have such custom, a Quran is given to girls for their dowry. For it is an important and valuable item to own. It is logical.

In the article, I liked the question ;

Öte yandan sınavda ortaokul öğrencilerine sorulan “Allah insanlara niçin kutsal kitap indirmiştir” sorusunun “Süs olsun diye, mezarlıkta okumaları, kızlara çeyiz için, doğru yolu göstermesi için” şıkları ile birlikte hazırlandığı görüldü. (Cumhuriyet)

Question is good. But, one of the option is bit weird  " kızlara çeyiz için" .

 Why did God send the holy ["Quran "in our case] book to people ?
