Hello, I´ve browsed the forums for a while and gained some useful stuff but now I´m in need of help urgently! This is a pretty personal matter so I hope it´s ok on the forum!
To give the backstory, Me and my OH had an argument and split a few months ago, we love each other dearly so got back together less than two weeks later but because of the nature of the split we kept it on the quiet for a few months to ensure it was what we wanted. Now, I´m due to go back over his house tonight and I would love to have a letter to write to his mother but my turkish is terrible! I´ve been trying to figure out the sentences but it´s not working. If anyone could help I would be thankful for eternity, also anyone who has any experience of the Turkish culture, is this the done thing? Would you write a letter to your OH´s Mother to apologise?
This is what I want to say:
Hello,
I hope you don´t mind me writing you this letter. It´s been a while since we spoke and things did not end well. I appreciate any negative feelings you may have towards me so I wanted to try and write a letter of apology to you for your forgiveness.
Umarım bu mektubu yazdığım için beni hoş görürsünüz. Sizinle uzun zamandır konuşamadık ve işler pek de iyi gitmedi. Bana karşı olumsuz hislerinizi anlıyorum. Bu yüzden sizden af dilemek için bu mektubu yazmak istedim.
I love your son dearly and always have, no matter the argument, we always manage to stick together and although times have been hard sometimes I always smile when his name flashes up on my phone or he turns up at my door. No matter what has happened between us I know that I will look after him and cherish him forever, he is a great person and gives me lots of love and laughter everyday
