You are wellcome. You can say like this.

"It is hard not to be upset, but I will forget him now and get on with my life."

" Üzülmemek zor ama Onu artık unutup kendi hayatıma (bakacağım) devam edeceğim"

You can say in both ways..

" Üzülmemek zor ama Onu artık unutup kendi hayatıma devam edeceğim" OR

" Üzülmemek zor ama Onu artık unutup kendi hayatıma bakacağım.

When you put a word in brackets does this mean it is optional? Can I include it or exclude it without altering the meaning?

Yes that means the word in brackets is alternative way to say..

Thank you {#emotions_dlg.flowers}  It all makes sense to me now.  How do I reply "It is hard not to be upset, but I will forget him now and get on with my life."

"Kendini uzme"

This comes up as "Do not bring himself" but that makes no sense. Does it mean "Do not mention him/do not speak of him"?

" Kendini üzme" = Do not upset yourself.

Kendin (yourself)+i     üz (root of the verb) + me (negatif )

the verb is Üzmek = to upset,to make s.o sad

Good morning, we love you and kids lots. You are always in our mind. Erdoğan now goes abroad and comes back for (his work)UPS cargo. I know that he is in Spain at the moment but I haven"t heard from him for 1 week. As you know we are unable to tell Erdoğan about you cos he is not answering us but now We don"t know whether you see eachother ( in touch) or not as he wasn"t translating the questions that has been asked (by us)about you. Erdoğan has got a good heart. But as you too know that he has got quick temper which he can"t help. Well ,Because he couldn"t organize his life(he couldn"t settle down) yet he is under nervous pressure . And he doesn"t tell us anything. As a family we would want you to continue your lives together. But somehow it didn"t happen that way. Again we know nothing about it. Erdoğan explain and tell us nothing.Myself and my husband love you and your kids. We will always. Our friendship will never end. But for Erdoğan there is nothing we can do as he doesn"t listen to me.....Take care of yourself..I kiss you alll loads.....

(Şu anda) Neler olduğunu bilmiyorum ama seninle konuşmamız gerek

We don"t have to put "seninle" in this sentence.

"Sana yazıyorum" means "I write to you".

"Seni yazıyorum" means something like "I write you." But if you say this is wrong; I guess it can be translated as "I write about you" Have a nice day.

Ben seni yazarım. If you look at the turkish text its like that. So its not "I write to you" . It has to be " I write about you"  = Ben seni yazarım(Senin hakkında yazarım)
