24:59 - 26:40
--- was that you head servant Nigar?
--- I came to look for Gülağa, what are you doing here?
--- I´m not doing anything, forget about me, where did you come from?
--- I´ve just come, I´m back to palace
--- We rejoined our head servant Nigar at last.
--- Where is Gülağa?
--- This young man who is walking into hot sands, and fires, was taking the daughter of cruel sultan behind the mountain to the bird that he promised to go. This bird that has a red wing and a blue wing had bloody tears and it was saying "my God, please meet these lovers. give my wings strength and I could take them away from here.... aaaa head servant Nigar!
--- What is it Gülağa? What a sight you are?
--- I swear the time was not passing, and I was telling stories to girls..
--- Gülağa, please continue, what happens in the end?
--- I´ll tell later, you go to sleep now.... why did you come at this hour? I hope there is nothing wrong?
--- No, thank God. I came for good.
--- Long live! Mashaallah! So you are back. Girls, evening snacks and sweets are on me!

26:51 - 27:08

--- My sultans..

--- Did you bring the kaftan (robe)?

--- Yesi I did. Here it is. Look at its magnificence. It is right for my sultan.

--- Don´t open it up, let it stay like that.

--- Do you not liked it?

--- I like it, very nice. Put it in that chest.

27:16 - 27:39
--- If you have no further orders...
--- Wait! Put that snake you caught a few days ago in here and bring it to me..
--- But my sultan, that snake cannot be fed in the palace. Honestly, it destroys the harem
27:53 - 27:56
--- I´ll bring it right away
28:23 - 28:54
--- Prince Frederick, a letter from signor Gritti. It is for you..
--- Your fiance is alive. Sultan Süleyman make us believe that he is dead just to forget about her. He will not let the princess go. From now on, the only way to save the princess is to abduct her. I will help you with my life. But it will cost you a lot.
29:00 - 29:33
--- Clean well. and take girls to the room upstairs.
--- OK
--- Shushhh! come come come... what is this chest?
--- I don´t know.
--- Home come you don´t know? Who gave it to you?
--- Hürrem Sultan
---- Hmmmm, yes.

Hi

Kedilerin nesli de diğer pek çok hayvanınki gibi tükenmeye başlamıştır.

why did we put a "ın" ın hayvanınki  word, where is the "Tamalama eki" ?

any one can explain this please.

thanks

Hello,

They put -ın "tamlama eki" as they put at the beginning (Kedilerin nesli) and this suffix is phrasing "nesli" as well. So you can write this sentence as:

Kedilerin nesli de diğer pek çok hayvanın nesli (hayvanınki) gibi tükenmeye başlamıştır.

I hope it helps.

1. Bana yarin çocuklar geleceğini söylendi.

2. Yarin çocuklar geleceğini söyleniyor.

I think there is no difference between 2a and 2b in Turkish. Hopefully someone can double-check this.

1. Bana çocukların yarın geleceği söylendi.

2. Çocukların yarın geleceği söylendi (söyleniyor).

Thread: Turkish to English: Ask Olsun

Quoting Trepkos

Hi all.  There is a line in a book I am reading which keeps being repeated, and I don´t know what it means, but it seems very significant - like something to do with a close relationship.

The line is "Ask Olsun. Askin Cemal Olsun" (there is an accent under the "s"), and also "Kush Geldi".

Can anyone give me an idea what this means?

Thanks!

Hello,

That is a way of salutations among dervishes.

A: Aşk olsun (May it be love)

B: Aşkın cemal olsun (May your love be beautiful)

A: Cemaliniz nur olsun (May your face enlighten)

B: Nurun ala nur olsun (May it be light over light - greater light, the lightest light)

It may seem confusing in English, but that´s how they do

Is other one "kuş geldi (a bird came)?" Or is it something else?

Thread: Redeem Gold?

Quoting bwp

Hi am trying to translate the words "Redeem Gold"  for a game.

As in Cash-in, or Use, or Spend.  What is the Turkish way of saying this?

Hello,

The meaning of "redeem" is "paraya çevir(mek)" and "gold" is "altın"

So this phrase could be "Altını Paraya Çevir", or if you want to make it shorter, you can just say "Paraya Çevir" which literally means "turn into money" but it is like turning your golds into money.

However, if a player would use their gold to do something, then it could be "Altını Kullan (use gold)" or "Altını Harca (spend gold)".

I hope it helps
