Does "körün" mean a blind person?

Yes, "kör" is what you defined. But if you asked the structure of "körün", it may be "...of a blind".

Quoting Natlisa:

Yes it is hard to translate it exactly. I suppose I would translate it as, He wanted an eye, but God gave him two. So in other words he was blessed with more than he could have hoped for.

I like that phrase

You have taught me something new. Teşekkürler

Oo! Thank you again. What can I say this time? You, too, tought me something new.

"Körün istediği bir Mevla'nın verdiği iki göz"
"The blind wanted an eye, but God gave him two".

Haydi, who will give us a definite answer please!!? It would be so much appreciated. [/QUOTE:

According to the example you gave, you are right.

bab asked:

"shouldn't the bold sentence in your quote be Hayir, doktor hemsireyle beraber degildir.?"

İf we asked: "is the doctor together with the nurse", yours would be true.

-Doktor, hemşireyle beraber midir?
-Hayır, doktor hemşireyle beraber değildir.

Dear Elisa,

Now I believed and saw that it was me who misunderstood you. And also I saw that our intention is the same: helping to each other. I, therefore, want you to forgive me if you foresaw any rudeness from my post. And, as last point, I apologize to you for transfering your message to here without your permission. By my last behavior, if I didn't damp your ardour about learning "öyle", I want to give few usages more.

Greetings.

you didn't seem very happy when we just talked, is it because of your brother in law? or because of me? I hope his operation went well yesterday.
