Trying to "map" Shakespeare into "Turkce" is a stretch.'

For one thing he wrote in "middle English".. Its hard enough to translate Shakespeare into modern English let alone some other language!

I know it means "one friend", literally.

My context is this. In a restaurent where English was mostly being spoken, I said "Tes,ekkürler" to a Turkish Waitress who brought me something, she replied "Bir Dost", and some things I couldn't understand.

My take was she wanted to give a "friendly" compared to "formal". Is this correct?

To focus on OOF. In the chorus of the PAMELA song. "Bir Tek Ask Ic,in"

Is this religous or the opposite. Doe OOF strengthen or contradict the words before it?

Assuming you want "Ok" from TURKISH to ENGLISH.

THe dictionary says it is: arrow, tongue of a wagon, a porcupines quill, or the shank of a ships anchor.

I think many Turks may use it as same as English "OK", however.
