When to say dumayi or duyduğum?

In a recent translation request Kemal suggested

"Onu duyduğum için mutluyum"

for "I am glad to hear from you"

instead of "dumayi mutluym". I might have written

"dumam mutluyum", but...

My request: a few examples of when to Onu duyduğum or Geldiğim instead of duym?am or gelmem. Thanks.

How do you say "bury the ax" in Turk doesn't translate straight across? Balta gömmek?

literal "worlds beutiful good evening" seems like a very nice sentiment!

but dayanmiyorum is a negative. I rely not etc.

From the tone of I think it says

"Beautiful evening. You don't always have to come.

Kissing you up to now."

Based on the first line this is a happy message. You need a native speaker to make the final "answer".

The two words mean very different things.\

Katıl = mingle
Katil = slaughter

It would be easy with an english keyboard to say the wrong thing. What do native speakers assume when there is a word with "dotted i", that might be ı?
