I thought ´isterim´ was ´I would like´

I thought 3rd person present tense ´ister´ + past tense ´dim´ =used to like.

Quoting Blue Butterfly

Hi, please could somebody translate this for me please, im sorry it is in capital letters....

DENİZİN ORTASINDA TEK BAŞIMA BİR ADA,DA YAŞAMAK İSTERDİM
EVLENMEDEN EVLİ GİBİ YAŞAMAKTAN NEFRET ETTİM
ŞU ANDA SADE VE YALNIZLIK SİTRESTEN UZAK KAFA,DAĞITMAK EN GÜZELŞEY
ARTIK KİMSEYE HESAP VERMEK ZORUNDA DEĞİLİM.....

cok tesekkur ederim

I used to want to live on my own on an island in the middle of the sea. I hated living like I was married without being married.

ŞU ANDA SADE VE YALNIZLIK SİTRESTEN UZAK KAFA,DAĞITMAK EN GÜZELŞEY

(Don´t understand this bit)

Now I don´t have to account to anyone.

My try-but wait for clevers.

Quoting hedef

 What is the i at the end of the word for?

Kalbim= my heart

satıyorum= I am selling

Kalbim(i)?

Is it because it´s the object of the verb satmak which takes i/ı ?

How come "love" means zero, any idea? (Watching Wmbledon these days)

15-0 fifteen love

30-0 thirty love

40-0 fourty love

0-15 love fifteen

etc

from all about tennis.com

the term love (possibly derived from the French word for egg, l´oeuf, referring to the physical appearance of the number zero)
