I´m sorry {#emotions_dlg.scared}Haklısın tabii ki. I think its so annoying that you cant see the other reactions written down while giving a reaction. My mind mixed while not seeing the sentence in front of me.

there is nothing to be sorry about

يا سلام يا سلام

We say it when we liked something so much

NO because it is not the thoughts "about" today

Gokuyum maybe you could also translate it simply as :

Forget the things you thought about today

-bugün, düsündüklerini aklindan çikar

get all your thoughts out of your mind today

--bugün düsündüklerini aklindan çikar

get everything you thought today out of your mind

My try: kadınlar for ladies.

I´m just a learner so wait for others.

it doesn´t sound nice if you say "iyi akşamlar kadınlar"

because it is like "good evening women"

Merhaba Seher

Bir ara sana gelmek ve seni ziyaret etmek istiyoruz, belki sen de bizi ziyaret edebilirsin.

emin değilim ne kadar uzakta yaşıyorsun ama buluşmak için bir ayarlama yapmamız gerekli.

En içten dileklerimle

Richard

good translation for a learner but I wanted to correct some mistakes.

btw, please write "my try" or something like this at the end of your translation when you are not totally sure

If you don´t talk to those who are worth to talk, you lose humans. If you talk to those who are not worth to talk, you lose the words.

I think saying "people" is more appropriate then "humans" here

Hi  - I am going to be working on a possible book in English that has brief biographies of famous Turks.

they can be:

  • male or female
  • alive or dead
  • Ottomans or Turkish citizens
  • leaders (sultans, politicians)
  • warriors
  • folk heroes
  • in business
  • in sports
  • in the arts

etc

Who would you recommend I include in the list?

some scientists/doctors?

e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mehmet_Oz

No, I´m afraid I won´t come to Marmaris this year.

Hayır, korkarım ki bu yıl Marmaris´e gelemeyeceğim.

I will start a new job 1st of June, and then I wont get summer holidays, so I can´t come this year.

Haziran´ın birinde yeni bir işe başlayacağım bu yüzden yaz tatiline çıkamayacağım.Bu yıl gelemeyeceğim.
But I am very good, and hope you all are too!

Ben çok iyiyim, umarım hepiniz de iyisinizdir.

I miss you all very much, my turkish family! say hi to salak selo , osmancan, fethi, safak, suat and serdar for me.

Hepinizi çok özlüyorum, benim Türk ailem. Salak Selo´ya, Osmancan´a, Fethi´ye, Şafak´a, Suat´a ve Serdar´a benden selam söyleyin.

Hope you are all good, and that I will see you next year. Take good care of Sandie while she is there, I know you always do.

Umarım hepiniz iyisinizdir, sizi seneye görürüm*. Sandie´ye oradayken iyi bakın.İyi bakacağınızdan eminim.

Pretty please, its kinda urgent.

In advance; thank you!!

(I) Hope I will see you next year: Umarım sizi seneye görürüm (in such cases we use "geniş zaman" in Turkish, using future tense sounds strange)
