To eat something also means to like something a lot in Turkish. It sounds very cannibalistic

It sounds weird. Maybe it is " Kusura bakmayınız"?

Ok I´m not trying to be rude or ´racist´ and sorry if I come across like that but what do you lot mean by foreigners? Because every single time I see questions and forums like this people say British American and religion in case you haven´t realised there are people such as me who live in Britain but are Musli m so how do we have different religion to you? British and American aren´t religions they´re cultures. Yes some people are racist but the same can be said for any race it isn´t just British and Americans. Honestly I just don´t get your definition of foreigner.

Foreigner is someone who is not Turkish. Your religion doesnt matter. And being a foreigner isnt a bad thing. Turks are really interested in meeting and talking with foreigners. That is why we have this forum, right?

Quoting mariya mihr

you,with breathtaking eyes

sen, nefes kesen gözlerinle

eyes with lashes that pierce and then withdraw like a bloodstained sword

O gözler ki kirpikleri kana bulanmış bir kılıç gibi deler ve çıkar.

this mankind is mistaken, when you smile-it is heaven

İnsanlık yanılıyor, güldüğün zaman cennet olur

to be happy with eyes full of tears is my job since my heart has gone mad in love.

gözyaşlarıyla dolu gözlerimle mutlu olmak benim işim çünkü kalbim aşkınla delirdi.

my beloved, wait not for the day when we will take our place in the buriall ground

sevgilim, ölüp gömüleceğimiz günü bekleme

join me now, in this intoxication.

bana şimdi katıl, bu sarhoşluk anında

-mariya munir

Nice poem.

Merhaba herkese

So i found a good Karadeniz song, i would like to know the meaning, but i don´t know the Karadeniz dialect. And here is the song :

Hani Sevduğum Hani (Selçuk Balcı) :

Bu dağlara gelmamun, ben onun canani
İki sebebi vardur, hani sevduğum hani (2)

Of me coming to these mountions, I am his beloved
There are two reasons, where is my beloved, where?

Birisi karli dağlar, ben onun canani
Biri da nazli yardur, hani sevduğum hani (2)

One is the snowy mountains, I am his beloved
Other is the coy beloved, where is my beloved, where?

Yaylanun çimenleri, ben onun canani
Kurumadi mi kardan, hani sevduğum hani (2)

The grasses of the highland, I am his beloved
Havent the snow dried them, where is my beloved, where?

Ne haber var sevduğum, ben onun canani
Verane yaylalardan, hani sevduğum hani (2)

What news are there, I am his beloved
From the ruined highlands, where is my beloved, where?

Geydum çaruklarumi, ben onun canani
Gel bağla bağlarini, hani sevduğum hani (2)

I wore my shoes, I am his beloved
Come and tie the shoelaces, where is my beloved, where?

Beraktum gidiyorum, ben onun canani
Git o yaylalarini, hani sevduğum hani (4)

I have left and I am going, I am his beloved
Go to your highlands, where is my beloved, where?

and here ´s the link if you want to listen : https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rffgBmptYs0
Teşekkür ederim

If the law of distribution of mistakes is random (but is known), optimum on efficiency (at big n) estimations among all unbiased can be found on a methodMP. These estimations (A FORMULA) will not be linear on Y, despite of linearity(3). If to be limited by a class of linear estimations A FORMULAirrespective on the law of distribution of mistakes of an estimation with optimum properties turns out at the set kind of a matrix.

Let´s search for such estimation X of a vector of parameters that at its substitution in (3) sum of squares of deviation experimental Y from predictable Y=X.O was minimal. Thus we assume that: ...

I am not a mathematician so I am not sure if my translation makes sense. If it does I can translate the rest.

Some people are loved so much so;

Even if they were far away, they you give life, and soul as well. (i.e. they make you feel alive)

Hello,

I think that I posted this question in the wrong forum so I´m reposting it here. There´s a dialogue and I can´t understand the third line of it. Could someone help me translate the final phrase?

-Vallahi erken bitiyor ama çıkışta çok özel bir randevum var.

-Çok özel!

-Ya özelin çoğu azı mı olur Sevinççiğim?

There is not much or less of private matters dear Sevinç

Thank you!

Hello,

I have a few questions I would appreciate if you could help me out with:

First, I wanted to ask if "bazılarını alabilir miyim" is correct for "can I get some of them?"

Correct.

Second, there is a few phrases I would like to know how to say in Turkish:

-- While you do that, I´m going to get some laundry detergent.

Sen onu yaparken, ben biraz çamaşır deterjanı alacağım.

--It looks like we just ran out.

Öyle gözüküyor ki az önce bitmiş.

--Are you open? (As in an aisle at a grocery store)

Açık mısınız?

Teşekkür ederim!

Thank you so much to the people  who helped to translate the note I was given by a homeless woman in Edinburgh - I have now been given another by her, and wonder if you could help me once again. Although she is a Turkish speaker it seems she canot write Turkish so the notes are written phonetically. The first was also poorly written so dificult to decipher (the best version of the original and the approximate translation that some helpful people came up with, in red below).

This one is a bit easier to read, and is more or less as follows (where one word ends and next begins sometimes hard to work out):
Sana cioc ial variorum  al bana bir telefon mobil conasaim ciojuclarinda evde var telefon bende ioc eni ujus telefon al bana tesechiur ederim baba ioc. Baba sensin

any help much appreciated
