Quoting tomac

Hi all

Recently, I came across word "oynamaca", in context of playing with children. I suppose that as "bulmaca" means "crossword puzzle" and "bilmece" means "word puzzle" then perhaps "oynamaca" simply means playing with someone or in some game? Is this correct?

Also, when looking for translation of this word, I found explanation that "-ca, -ce" suffix appended to verbal nouns (bulma, gelme like in bulması, gelmem) is used to create kind of diminutive form of noun which can be used to speak to children. Is this true as well?

Oynamaca sounds like a made up word.  But  this -ce,-ca suffix has the function you mentioned above. For example you can hear a teacher saying the children who are playing in the garden: "Koşmaca yok".

Günaydin,

Thanks for helping.

I dont know how to translate it. Literally it means "You are the exact inside of my soul". It means you are the dearest for me.

can anyone translate this ? thanks
ölüm ardıma düşüp de yorulma
var git ölüm bir zaman da gene gel
akıbet alırsın komazsın beni
var git ölüm bir zaman da yine gel

O death! Dont make yourself tired coming after me

Go o death and come again another time

In the end you will take me and will not let me go

Go o death and come again another time

çıkıp boz kurtlayın ulaşamadım (not bozkurt it is bozkırlar)
yalan dünya sana çıkışamadım
eşimle dostumla buluşamadım
var git ölüm bir zaman da yine gel

I couldnt reach to steppes going out

I couldnt scold you o liar world.

I couldnt meet with my family and friends

Go o death and come again another time

karac´oğlan der ki konup göçerken
ecel şerbetini tas tas içerken
yine buldum beni senden kaçarken
var git ölüm bir zaman da yine gel

Karacaoğlan says while I was settling and migrating

While I was drinking the drink of death with cups

You have found me again while I was escaping from you

Go o death and come again another time.

That is a very nice folk song. I first heared it in Magnificent Century and liked it a lot. Here is the link of the song:

Death of Prince Beyazid

bazı insanlar çok akıllıdır=some people are very smart

Arkadaşlarımdan bazıları çok akıllı=some of my friends are very smart

why did i said akıllıdır in first and akıllı in second sentence?

Because it´s the fact that some people are very smart and you can´t change it, in second sentence i only said that my friends are very smart, i am not 100% sure about that.

you won´t say az paralarım var, az param var is correct.

Çok az param var is also correct.

Çok param yok=az param var

But not sure if az can be used always.

az arkadaşım var (Does it sound correct) {#emotions_dlg.think}

i think it would be more correct to say birçok arkadaşım yok.

Bence öyledir, ama doğruyu söylememiş olabilirim.

Az arkadaşım var is correct.

Instead of "birçok" use "çok". Çok arkadaşım yok.

Yes i think çok albümleri var is also wrong, i did not pay attention on that.

You already said çok so it´s wrong to use it in plural.

You won´t say beş kardeşlerim var, it´s wrong. You would say beş kardeşim var

Çok albümleri var and beş kardeşleri var is correct if it is third person plural.

Ex:

Onların çok paraları var. (they)

Onun çok parası var. (he)

Maybe someone can translate them. But there is nothing important. We call it geyik muhabbeti. That means empty talk.

"Rüzgar tersine döndü" means "Wind started to blow in opposite direction"

That means everything started to change to opposite.
