We say it over here in Scotland because the weather is so unpredictably.  Sometimes 4 seasons in one day!!  It means we hope the sun shines for you etc

i modified it micheala. check it again.

It just means that she hopes the weather will be fine and not rain.

Then i translated it incorrectly. It sounds like hope the weather is good for you. But it doesn´t matter both of them are good wishes.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will put it out freely next time.................... he he

You are wellcome but what did you mean with "hope the weather is good to you" Is it something like "Hope the weather is good for your health" or "Hope the weather is good like you expect?" Or another?

Turkish to Turkish : Kusura bakmayın ama tanıyamadım. Tanışıyor muyuz? Anlamadım; bilmem mi gerekiyor? Tanıdık geliyor ama ismi çıkaramadım.

Turkish to English : Excuse me but i couldn´t recognize you. Do we know each other? I didn´t understand, should i know it( the name)? It sounds familiar but i couldn´t remember(or recognize) the name.

Hi, I want to wish my friend a happy holiday,  could you translate this into turkish?

Have a brilliant time in Kusadasi with Sibel.  I can´t remember if it´s this week or next you fly out. Hope the weather is good to you.  All the best................

Thanks

hehe Micheala thank you for your trust. But there are many people knows English and Turkish better than me. For example sonunda

 (My try)

Kuşadası´nda Sibel´le harika bir zaman geçirmeni dilerim. Bu hafta mı yoksa gelecek hafta mı uçuyorsun? Umarım hava senin için güzel olur. Tüm iyi (dileklerimle)....

I need help "Hope the weather is good to u" should we translate it like this "Hava umarım sana iyi gelir" or like this "Umarım hava senin için iyidir" I chose the first. Thank you in advance.

My attempt to improve the English

Öğüt veren çoktur, para veren yoktur

There are many giving advice, (but) there are none giving money.

(Advice = isim, advise = fiil)

Thank you henry, i will modify it.
