Quoting theblonde

I choose not to feel at the moment as I am scared of getting hurt and I choose not to think either as when I employ reason, nothing makes sense to me any more...

Would it also be acceptable to say:

"Çok farklý bir þekilde davranýyor" for "he´s acting very differently"?

Thanks.

Quoting pazhystama

my try:

keep your feet warm, relax your head: find some work for yourself, don´t be depressed.

The first part says: Keep your feet hot and your head cool - to me to keep your head cool doesn´t necessarily mean to keep it relaxed, it implies more to be rational and not driven by emotions.

I would think of "düþünme derin" as don´t think deeply, don´t contemplate - is the expression same as don´t be depressed? I´m not questioning your translation, I´m just curious to find out, maybe a native speaker can clarify the meaning of it.

Quoting pazhystama

shouldn´t it be ...onun için çok marak ediyorum... ?

I agree with Sonunda (but I´m a learner too, so I could be wrong), I think merak etmek takes an accusative, so it should be "onu merak ediyorum".

You could probably say "onun için endiþeleniyorum" too.

Maybe a native speaker can clarify

Quoting Henry

For anybody that likes a lavish coffee-table recipe book with Turkish recipes and travel pictures. I have flicked through the pages of this book and was impressed with everything but the cost (locally). I noticed Marion has given the book a review as well.

If you see the book, have a look through it and post a comment.

I noticed my local bookstore had the book and I´ve flicked thru the pages. It´s beautifully done and I loved the pictures as well as the recipes. I didn´t buy it because of, like you mentioned, the cost, and because I already have several Turkish, Meditteranean and Middle Eastern cookbooks, so I couldn´t possibly justify to myself buying another one. But overall I loved it, I thought it was beautiful.
