others are ok but "aklýmýzda ayný mý" is not used in Turkish. It should be "fikrimiz ayný mý?" or "ayný fikirde miyiz?"

Hi,

seçilmiþ þarký

seçilmiþ olan þarký

seçili þarký

seçili olan þarký

seçilen þarký

both are the same meaning

same meanings, different way of expressions, just like "the chosen song" and "the song that was chosen"

Hi all , maybe some of you remember me , I used to be a very active user but for personal reasons I was not able to sign in for a long time...

Well now I am trying to remember all the grammar that was on my head but I have some questions I was unable to find answered on my notes or papers related to turkish language...

It´s about the PASSIVE IN TURKISH , I know you can form it by using /-il /- l or -N / (right?) depending on the case now my specific questions:

In this example:

" The chosen song " would this be " seçilmis sarki " or " seçilmis OLAN sarki " or any of them is actually correct?

Now how can I say " I liked THE CHOSEN song " ??

and also if I want to say

" I liked the song that was chosen" how could I build these structures with the verb in passive?

Thanks a lot I hope I was able to make myself understood and Merry X´mas for everyone!

Dilara.

"seçilmiþ þarký" and "seçilmiþ olan þarký" are exactly the answers to your questions That´s:

I liked the chosen song: Seçilmiþ þarkýyý sevdim.

I liked the song that was chosen: Seçilmiþ olan þarkýyý sevdim.

There is not a significant difference in the meaning, as there is also no significant differnce in English versions also.

hi semra its ........... how are you?hope your well.hows life going?tomorrow is christmas here, its bit like bayram so ive been busy!wish mehmet was here with me though!hope to see you again.hugs+kisses xxxx

(there is no direct translation for "hugs", so I have translated as "sevgiler", which is usually used.)

I wrote "we cannot communicate" because görüþemiyoruz not also means that they cannot speak to each other but also they cannot chat online, or write to each other etc. But it is also ok to say "we have been unable to speak for one week."

Quoting cab2007

Thanks Dilliduduk. Can I just check that it says Cannot communicate with me for a week or we haven´t spoken for a week? Many thanks.

Thanks dilliduduk, I can see where my error is in translation, and why LIR was correct.

yazýn = you write (a command) (yaz + suffix for you)

yazýn = your writing (the sentence subject) (yazý + suffix for your)

welcome.

yes , "Yazýn!" also means "Write!" in a formal way (Yaz!, informal). but to mean like "Write very effectively", it should have been "Çok etkileyici yazýn!", order of words change the meaning in this case. What a complicated language

Please could someone translate this message for me?

"

Hersey yolunda bizim ailede, Mansurla Pazar gecesi gorustum iyiydi senden mesaji gelp gemedigini sordu ve bizde bir haftadir gorusemiyoruz dedi selamlar. "

Many thanks to whoever can help.

Everything is OK about our family, I have been in contact with Mansur on Sunday night, he was fine. He asked whether we received a message from you, and he said "we cannot communicate with each other for 1 week". Greetings.
