erdinc PM'd me and told me these are song lyrics! ............

(I was still writing this when ERDINC sent his reply)

Well, that makes all the difference. I can list a half dozen Turk songs that read just like this, but when you hear the music it comes across differently. One title that leaps to mind is 'Ölüme Hasret'. You can find songs like this in American Blues, folk, Rock. You don't usually read their lyrics word by word.

This person sounds really sad, you should call someone to check in on them maybe? Wait for another translation, I think I got most of it right but I am still a beginner.

yasamak içimden gelmiyor artik öylesine dertliyim öyle üzgünüm, bu dünya hiçbir tat vermiyor artik aldigim nefese cana küskünüm, hersey bos anlamsiz simdi gözümde bin öfke bin nefret her bir sözümde , yillarin çilesi belli yüzümde , aynada baktigim yüze küskünüm
To set something straight (I am not taking a drink from now on ?)I am troubled (or ill?) and for this reason I am sad.in this world there is nothing that gives any pleasure from now on with each breath I take I am disgruntled. everything is useless and without meaning now in my eyes 1000 rages (super angry), 1000 hatreds, every one in/of my promise, years of suffering are evident in my face, in the mirror I see my disgruntled face.

You got the essence of it but IMHO "içimden" doesn't have to do with drinking, it is the noun form of "iç" "içimden"= from o away from my inner self" I hope that a native speaker will help.

Last weekend a young university student, XXXX visited us. I met him while biking in Crater Lake National Park. He and many other Turkish students are working there for the summer. He attends the university in Beshiktas. My husband and I showed him and his friend, YYYY, some of the sights of the San Francisco bay area and we went to the Pacific ocean shore and to some Turkish restaurants. // My husband was able to practice his Turkish while they were here. XXXX is from Gemlik and introduced us to the special olives produced in there.

You translation is basically (or entirely) correct. My only comment is that unless he knew that you were sick or feeling bad, that "gecmis olsun" means literally "let it be past" so Turks say it to someone who has been ill etc, but in this context I think the literal translation fits.IMHO.
