Quoting huss:

sen kafayi yemissin.
thank you.

Literally is means "You ate you head (apparently)""

But I think it is idiomatic. for example:

"senin kafayi bulmis, sin" mean "you were apparently drunk"

but literally is "your looked at your head".

Hopefully a native speaker can clarify.

Quoting MarioninTurkey:

The Turkish ain't great, so we have to guess a bit!

The last two are:

Hey, write to me my love

You should learn Turkish

Thank you MarioninTurkey. These make more sense. When words "run together", we have to try guess "is it the verb is it the noun, etc.

In my RED grammar book, I can't find how this is an acceptable construction?

(This is a first word of a Translation T_E request that no-one has touched for 12 hours)

Did any of these meetings actually occur?

Just curious.

Quoting longinotti1:

I know that when a person tells of a health problem it is normal to say "gecmiş olsun".

What if say a family member, (father in law) is in the hospital. Does the expression change. I'm sure that literally translating. -I hope he is is better-

"Onun iyi sağlığı oduğu umut ederim,"

won't sound right.

Thanks

Kayinbaba'nin sagliginin iyi oldugunu umit ediyorum,or umarim Kayinbaba'nin sagligi iyi or umarim Kayinbaba'nin sagligi daha iyi.

Teşekkür ederim
