Whenever I come across this song, I change the channel.

I find it quite annoying, all the song goes the same, çakkıdı çakkıdı oynaşalım kız....

Hehe I guess that's what I like about it But it's more that Kadir and I have a thingy with it when it starts playin in the car Then we're like such a way too expensive horrible MTV clip Except for the fact we're not half naked and all hung up with gold

Hi

Thank you, yes i have.

So is this the correct place to start?

Alphabet then vowels and so on and so on.

Is this the easiest place to start?

Yes. Maybe you think it's interesting to read » the introduction «first.

I would first start with the » alphabet « obviously, then learn the pronouns 1& pronouns 2.

Then an important thing to study is the VOWELHARMONY. There are 5 lessons about it, but if I were you I'd really learn them. If you don't learn the vowelharmony properly, you'll make mistakes all the time, as it is a part of the basis of Turkish.

Then you can start with other parts of grammar. I suggest you just start from lesson 1 and then slowly finish them all. Maybe you prefer to at least learn how to construct a verb, then I'd start with the Turkish present continuous (number 11 on the list).. It's quite easy and you can easily learn how to use it yourself.

Good luck!

No. We aren't talking about the same "disko".
Anyone who completed his military service duty in Turkey knows the word. It is a blending of "disiplin" and "koğuşu">disko

Well, I haven't finished it, but I definitely know what it means now

Hello to you all!

Thank you for your little note. My sister gave it to me today. She said you were all very kind to them during their stay. It was great to hear from you.
We really enjoyed our stay in Hisaronu and will be coming back next year. Can you remember the Callipo man?!
I hope you like the photo. It was lovely to meet you all. See you again next year.
Take care.

I am a beginner too so this is just practice really, i should wait for someone else because i'm sure mine is full of mistakes! (and i want to compare it with a proper one )

Hepinize merhaba!
Kendinize iyi bak.

There's one thing that I would definitely change: kız arkadaşım (girlfriend), should be kız kardeşim (my sister.. or ablam.. if its an older sister)

TATLIM BU BENÝM DOLAR HESABIM BUNA DOLAR OLARAK PARA YATIRABÝLÝRSÝN TÜRK PARASI YATIRAMAZSIN. BU ARADA HAVALE OLARAK MI? GÖNDERECEKSÝN? BANA HABER VER.

Darling, this is my dollar-account (I think she means in a bank), to here you can pay the money in dollars, you don't need to send Turkish money. (then a sentence I don't undestand.. something like.. Among otherthings is the money-order ok?) Will you send? Give me news (Let me know).

SEN ÖNCE GÖNDERMEMÝÞMÝYDÝN PARAYI BEN ANLAMIYORUM SENÝ YA AYÇANIN ORADAN WÝRE GÖNDERMEMÝÞSÝN? LÜTFEN BANA AÇIK OL BANA GÜVENMÝYORMUSUN?

Didn't you send the money before? I don't understand, .. (and then IIII don;t understand )

Please be open/honest with me, don't you trust me?

With wave I meant that their voice goes up and down a lot whilst talking

When I read the examples that Bod gave, I realized that I already put hte stress well without knowing the rule. I think if you listen to Turkish a lot, this feeling will come itself.

And I think the examples that Caliptrix gave, made it really clear

evedeyim - i am at home
ara - call
dus - fall
aliyordum - i was taking/buying

Maybe dus was supposed to be duş and then goes together with aliyordum:

duş alıyordum - I was taking a shower
