Teşekkür ederim, gokuyum. Bazı sorular sana sorabilir miyim?
1) Mercimek fırın yan yana fazla söze ne gerek -- The lentil and the oven side by side is what faith needs most.
My first question is sort of an elementary one, but I have long been confused about "fazla." In the dictionary, it is defined as "too much, too many." But I have also been taught that "daha fazla" means "much more." But then there is also "daha çok." Is there a difference between them? ... And then in this line from the song, "fazla" seems to mean "most." But why would you not say "en fazla" or "en çok." ... What I really need is a good lesson on all of this. If there is one here, please point me to it.
First of all translation is not correct. I didnt notice it. The translation must be like this: "The lentil and oven is side by side. There is no need for more words." I will search for a lesson for fazla.
2) Deli gönül sevdi mi istemez yorgan döşek -- When the crazy heart love, it doesn´t needblanket and bed.
Can you explain where you get "when" in this line? Is "mi" not a question particle here? I am confused.
Mi is a question particle but here it has "when" meaning.
3) Kızdır nazdır bin altın azdır -- She is a girl, she is delicate. A thousand gold coins is little. Oğlan oktur her evde yoktur -- The youth is an arrow. There isn´t one in every house. Yep
Okay, I have given these lines another try. Thank you for correcting the lines of Turkish themselves. It is very difficult sometimes to find accurate versions of lyrics on the Web. And my ear is not good enough yet to always hear exactly what Barış is singing. ... I guess Barış is saying that you shouldn´t take your mate for granted? Each one is precious and hard to come by?
Tekrar teşekkürler!
