Quoting Mackers

Can you break this word down for me - Yazisamiyoruz

This is the conjugation of the verb to write.  What tense is this and how is this contructed?

It´s actually from ´yazışmak´ ´to write to each other´

yazışıyoruz=we are writing to each other

yazışmıyoruz=we´re not writing...........

yazışAmıyoruz=we can´t write..........

My try

We used to have these sorts of discussions in the translation lounge (see sticky thread) over a nice drink/coffee/tea. Maybe we should all meet up there once more.

Quoting turkaturk

I am still sticking to the main question.

What do Turkish people expect from foreigners?

I am really curious about your opinion about this. There are things forigners do or say which must be strange for you. Things that we should do or say differently. Things that we shouldn´t do or say at all if we are in Turkey.

What do you think?

I think you should start a new thread in a discussion forum.

..same father same son..or like father like son ?

´same old, same old´ means things are just the same as they´ve been for a while-doing the same things etc.

So we´d ask ´how are things?´ and reply ´oh,you know,same old,same old´

Hope this helps.
