SOMETHING NEW IN MY LIFE (lyrics) Haytımda Yeni Bir Şey
by: Stephen Bishop

i guess i wanted something new in my life
a new key to fit a new door
to wake and see a different view in my life
the one i´ve been waiting for

Sanırım hayatımda yeni bir şey istedim

yeni bir kapıya uyan yeni bir anahtar.

Uyanmak ve hayatımda o beklediğim

yeni manzarayı görmek

dreams like everyone i´ve had a few in my life
who knew that this one would come true in my lfe
i knew the moment when you touched me
you touched me

Benim de herkes gibi birkaç hayalim oldu

Kim bilirdi onlar gerçek olacaktı

Bana dokunduğun anı bildim

Bana dokundun

you´re like a sudden breeze that blew in my life
a new face, a new smile, new song
and now i know i wanted you in my life all along

Hayatımda esen ani bir meltem gibisin

yeni bir yüz, yeni bir gülüş, yeni bir şarkı

ve şimdi biliyorum ki seni hayatımda hep istedim

i guess, i must have saved an empty place in my heart
for you to come and fill this space in my heart
that long before i said i loved you
i love you

Sanırım senin için kalbimde boş bir yer ayırmalıydım

Gelmen ve o boşluğu doldurman için

Seni sevdiğimi söylemeden çok önce

Seni seviyorum.

whatever happens this is true in my life
when all the springs have come and gone
whatever dance i made or do in my life
whatever else that i may do in my life
you´ll always be something new in my life
from now on

Ne olursa olsun bu bir gerçek hayatımda

Tüm baharlar gelip geçtiğinde

Hangi dansı yapmış ya da etmişsem

ve her neyi yapma ihtimalim varsa

sen hayatımda herzaman yeni bir şey olacaksın

bundan böyle
i know there always will be you in my life
from now on...
Biliyorum hayatımda hep sen olacaksın

Bundan böyle.
Çok teşekkur ederim

I translated it but i want you to know that to translate a poem or a song to another language is to kill it.

Once fear is instilled its hard to ever be fearless.

Thank you in advance.

Bir kez korku içine işledi mi bir daha korkusuz olmak zordur.

thanks everyone for the help, I now understand the explanation, but am still a little confused by the examples.

is it bende de param yok or

benim de param yok  for I too have no money

Bende de para yok. There is no money on me too.

Benim de param yok. I have no money too.

You are the one whose dream I live when you are not here

and who makes me live my dreams when you are here.

Or:

You are the one I dream of when you are not here

and who makes me live my dreams when you are here.

Your Turkish is excellent. When did you start to learn Turkish?

Koyulmak has also a meaning such as "to begin".

İşe koyulmak means to begin to work.

Yola koyulmak means to begin to go.

Quoting Abla

How to create passive form of koymak? I´m looking for something like ´to be put, to be placed´. In my thinking it should be koyulmak, but the dictionary insists it means ´to begin´ etc. Do I have to use another stem?

It is koyulmak as you said. Here is an example:

Sandalye mutfağa koyuldu.

The chair was put into kitchen.
