There was a thing called fidelity. Anyone remember what it means?

Quoting Daydreamer

I´d rather blame his own paranoia than video games. Besides, it´s pretty difficult these days to find a thirty-two year old who has never played a gorey video game. Fortunately not all of them turn out to be psychos. Although I agree that the amount of violence we´re being exposed to as the result of mega fast information flow is shocking.

The problem here is even pacifist, peace-loving people play these games and to kill people in these games give them joy. This makes me think. I dont blame games. I blame us. A monster lives in all of us and it waits to wake up. We must be very carefull.

I agree 100% si++. The games and movies desensitize us, so actual violence becomes less repugnant. We see horrible things on TV, our kids play hideous games....of course this has an effect. It is a type of "grooming" that normalizes antisocial behaviour.

In fact the US Army used video games as a valuable tool for training.

"  That has not stopped the military from embracing video games to recruit and train a young generation of gamers who typically play commercial games such as "Modern Warfare 2," which passed $1 billion in sales in January."

I always asked myself If I am a good person and hate violence, why I like killing people in video games. I couldnt find an answer. Maybe I am not as good as I think.

olur olmazsa

I think it is "olur olmaza".  When "olur olmaz" is a noun it means "eveything without discrimination" It has a negative meaning.

Note:

Olur means "okay".

Olmazsa means "if not"

I think we should consider the origin of this phrase. It means "to love until his God", indeed it means as "faith", which means "when I love, I give up my faith and I start to believe the faith who I love" some like that. And about "playing with fire": this phrase does it already itself. I don´t recommend to use that either, but it is the exact meaning.

My interpration is different from yours. "Allahına kadar" means "to the highest level" I think. It is not about faith. As I said it is a measure. The possesive suffix points "its". It can be translated as" I love you to the highest point of love".

I agree, nobody should ever compare their love to anything you cannot be absolutely certain about.

Words are always easy, what you do is more important!

I agree with you. "Allah´ına kadar"  means till your/its god.It is not possible to translate it literally(it means something like "to the highest level") But it is a measure. And it can be considered rude or offensive to use such a measure. Becuse Allah shouldn´t be a part of a measure when he? is measureless.

I accept your appologies but I cannot forget that I felt I was worthless to you. You said you forgot your dreams with me, I am curious, what dreams were those?

Benimle birlikteyken hayallerini unuttuğunu söyledin. Not "bana dağir (about me) " I guess

"dil" means "language" or "tongue" in Turkish. But it means "heart" in Farsi. It is a small possibility but maybe the person who wrote this sentence preferred to use "heart" in Farsi. But it can´t be understood by most of the people who is not familliar with Ottoman language. Also this sentence can be a satire. It can mean "if you are out of sight, you will be out of heart but also out of people´s gossips. So maybe it is not that bad" Tunci´s explanation is also possible.

"Allah´ına kadar sevmek" is slang and it means "to love someone as much as possible". I dont recommend you to use such slang sayings which include the name "Allah". Don´t play with fire Cool

Quoting London2012

My attempt at a slightly longer sentence...

Araştırma sonucunda imiş ´in cümledeki yerinin değişkenliği , yani sadece yüklemden sonra değil, cümlenin başka unsurlarından sonra da gelebildiği ve bunun cümledeki önemli veya yeni bilgiyi vurgulamak için yapıldığı örneklerle gösterilmiştir.

1) Araştırma sonucunda=In the concluding section of this reseach

2)imiş ´in cümledeki yerinin değişkenliği=the irregularity of imis´s place within a sentence

3) yani sadece yüklemden sonra değil=in other words that it does not only come after a predicate

4) that it come come after other elements of a sentence

and in order to emphasize an important or new point in this sentence

5) yapıldığı örneklerle gösterilmiştir. can be seen from the examples presented.

So... Something along along the lines of...

In the concluding section of this research, the irregularity of imis´s place within a sentence, in other words that it does not only come after a predicate, that it can come after other elements of a sentence and in order to emphasize an important or new point in this sentence can be seen from the examples presented.

How did i do?

It is correct but i think there is no need for and in the sentence. But you are native if you say so it is so.
