I have been teaching Turkish to both newcomers to Turkey and long-term expats for 10 years, and have worked continuously to further improve my teaching technique. I have taught students of all different ages, occupations, and nationalities, and I approache every student differently, keeping in mind their learning goals, language level, and character. I give learners a strong grammatical foundation and presents grammar simply and clearly. I can also focus on colloquial Turkish vocabulary and pronunciation. In addition, I help students learn Turkish culture, manners, and ways of thinking. I speak English fluently, uses a variety of teaching materials, provides e-mail reviews following each lesson, and monitors student progress via homework. I enjoy teaching and working with new people, and am friendly, approachable, and encouraging.
