Quoting ZulfuLivaneli

Found several references to ´seni anan´ and ´aþka yar´ but no proper translation of it. If ´anan´ were a name, it would make sense (You, Anan, ). ´aþka yar´ on the other hand, is a strange one. Aþk is love and yar could be that too, but the combination puzzles me. Anyway, i left them both untranslated.

Mountains can´t withstand your loves´ flames

those who don´t know love won´t burn from inside

love is an ilness no doctor can cure

Apart from (Aþka yar)

apart from you, my love, nothing can cure me.

(Seni anan) were made for me

your dough was kneaded for me, my love

Cast away your past life, what will appear

without love, one would get bored of life

love will set someone on fire

apart from (Aþka yar), apart from you, my love, nothing can cure me

(seni anan ) were made for me, my love,

your dough was kneaded for me, my love

ana is mother.

"seni anan benim için doðurmuþ" is "your mom gave birth to you for me" (you are born for me)

yar is lover.

so:

"Aþka yardan baþka,

bana senden baþka care bulunmaz"

for love other than lover

for me other than you, no cure can be found.

(No cure can be found for love other than lover, and for me other than you)

p.s.: I really don´t like this song.

Sana verdigim degeri kimse sana vermezki bunu.
Keske karsima hic cikmasaydin,
Ben seni tanimakla hata yaptim,
elbet bir gun seni ben unutacagim,
sana kavusmak icin nedense urastim,
deymezmis sana bunlarin hepsi anladim

This was beyond my knowledge level XD

Nobody would value you as I did

I wish you have never come across me

I made a mistake by knowing you

For sure, I will forget you one day

Somehow I have struggled to come together with you

All these wouldn´t worth for you, I have understood

Ey Turkice bilenler, ey cemaat

I still seem to find coping with the Aorist tense a bit confusing.

We did not come >  Gel-me-y-iz  [OK?] ;      We couldn´t come  > Gel-e-me-yiz  [OK?]

So what is the difference between ´Gelemeyiz´ & ´gelemedik´ ?

Sayin ´gencturk´ explained it to [

and "gelmeyiz" is "we don´t come."

Sorry for not texting, my daughter has been ill and in hospital but I dont hear from you anymore so I dont know if theres a problem or what you are thinking. I just need to hear from you to reassure me.

Quoting *Carla Louise*

I´m looking everywhere for the Ýþsiz Adam DVD with English subtitles, I´ve searched ebay, everywhere, even Turkish sites themselves but I just can´t find where to buy it online If someone could help I´d be very grateful.

Þimdiden çok teþekkürler

first of all, it is "ýssýz adam"

and you cannot buy it now, it is still shown on cinemas, so dvd is not released yet.

kýyamam= I cant abandon, I cant give up , I  cant let go of    DI MI{#lang_emotions_confused}

yes but it is used mostly as a response to a bad situation. for example your friend is very sad about something happened to her/him, and you say "ah kýyamam"

Canim dikkat et biraz. kýyamam sana. güneþim, seni çok istiyorum, benimle olmaný.

Quoting tinababy

My dear, be careful. I don´t want you to get hurt. My sun, I want  you a lot, you to be with me.

I am not sure how to translate "kýyamam" exactly. But it gives more or less that meaning.
