I have tried to carry out my own translation. My own homework task!!

"mesajini aldim tesekur ederim, ancak mansur'un araya bilecegimiz sabit bir telfonu yok, o bizizi ariyor kartli telfon box'indan araya biliyor ne zaman musait olursa o zaman ariyor sen yinede cep telefonunu acik tutmaya calis aradigi zaman soylerim ailenin selami icin tesekur ederim sende selam soyle iyi olduguna sevindim hosca"

Could someone please look ar this and let me know translation?

I have translated this as

Thank you for your message. Only between Mansur to understand one telephone constant non existing. He calls us directly from telephone box using calling card. In case of him calling again what favourable time. In this time distance to work hold pocket phone. Thank you for family greeting. Good to clear up. Good greeting. Feel Happy. Bye.

Could someone check this to see how I have done? Many thanks.

First of all Good Job! (we don't always get to see that things are working out!)

See my comments below, a few places I think my version makes the reply a little more meaningful.

Your Wrote: my comments in ().
Thank you for your message. (good)

Only between Mansur to understand one telephone constant non existing.
(my opinion is: Only between[us] and Mansur, a fixed (landline) tephone we will(can) know doesn't exist)

He calls us directly from telephone box using calling card. (good)

In case of him calling again what favourable time. (good)

In this time distance to work hold pocket phone. (at that time use (work) your cell phone)

Thank you for (your family's) greeting. (GOOD)

Good to clear up. Good greeting./my version/ Say "greetings and good times" to them(your family).

Feel Happy. Bye. (close enough)

Could someone check this to see how I have done? Many thanks.

hi guys i hope u can translate this to me plz
Aman oturmuşda eşik taşına
Gelene geçene derdini der
Hele bakın gözlerinin yaşına
Dolu değil yağmur degil sel gider
Garibemmmmmmm
Ayy aman garibim garibim garibe
Alın götürün lokmana tabibe
Lokman tabib dermanını vermezse
Sarın kefenine koyun kabire
Aman oturmuşda mezar taşına
Gendini ölü sayıp adın yazıyor
Hele bakın şu feleğin işine
Kazma ile mezarını kazıyor
Kazma kürek mezarını kazıyor

Generally, this is obviously a poem that uses many idioms that I am not able to adequately translate. Literal translation would sound very 'gloomy' and I think that would be misleading.

(whoops, something went wrong lol)

Anyway, this is not a correct translation. You said something like I wish I have a very good day..

I'm not sure how to translate it into proper Turkish though so can't help u mousy .

You are quite right, that was "one translation to far" last I should have gone to bed before that one.. I think that "Senin için en çok iyi gun isteyorim" sounds ok but "iyi günler" might be more like something they actually say..

My BF has been trying to communicate to me from the army for last few days and has just tried. However, on my mobile can hardly hear or cuts him off. I cant call him back as no he calls from is witheld.

Please could someone translate this for me. I have tried, but staying at my mothers for Easter and haven't got my books with me.

I would like to send this message to his parents, who he will be calling later or tomorrow. I don't want him to give up or think I don't care.

Sorry its so long.

Many thanks for any assistance. It would be much appreciated.

___________________________________________________________

Thank you for message. Work and collegue busy, but should get better soon.

My phone is causing me so many problems. I am waiting for another phone on a different network to be delivered to me to resolve problem.

I am staying at my mothers house. Easter Holidays in UK. I am back home tomorrow.

When you speak to Mansur next will you pass on message from me?

Can you tell him I’m so sorry for not being able to speak to him when he has called me and that his credit has been wasted.

Is there a number I can ring him back on?

I am working late this well but will be at home from 7pm all Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday if he wants to call my landline. Number is +44

I regret not being able to have talked to him to find out how he is doing and to let him know that I am thinking of him and miss him.

Please ask him not to give up as I really do want to speak to him.

Glad that you are all well.

Bye.

Thıs ıs my attempt. (Note you might have gotten something sooner if you had trimmed down this message, some of the phrasing may not be perfect, but message that your phone doesn't work, you want to talk to him etc will come accross. The part at the end "don't give up" is my best attempt but it might now sound right in Turk.

Mesajin için teşekkür edirim. İşim ve üniversıte ile meşgulım, ama sonrakı ıyı olacak.

Benim telefon bana çok problemlar verıyor. Bir yeni telefon beklıyorum.

Quoting carlbos:

Hello everyone,

I recently returned from a few days staying with a Turkish family. Can somebody please translate a short note for me.

.........................................................

Thank you so much for the kindness, generosity and hospitality extended to me when I came to stay. Thank you for making me feel so comfortable and relaxed in your home. I really enjoyed my time there and wish it had been longer. I am sorry that my Turkish is not so good but I promise to work hard on it for next time.
I look forward to meeting you again.

Thanks again.

Best Regards,

..........................................................

Many thanks to anyone who can help in advance.

Carl

This is only a start. You really need either a native speaker or one of the "clever ones", but since they haven't responded, I hoping someone will "fix" my attempt below.

"Seniniz güzeliğinız, iyiliğiniz, sahavetiniz, konukseverliğinız bana verdiniz zamanda gelıp oturdum için çok teşşekür ederim. Duyduğum çok rahat evininde teşekkürler.

Gerçekten benim vaktım senınle çok hoşlandım ve onu daha kadar istedım. Benım Türkçe konuşma iyi yok için affedersiniz ama sonraki için güclü çalısıyorum

GörüşÃ¼rüz ve saygılarımla"
