I am planning to travel there next Oct. for a week or 10 days and need a moderately price hotel or pension. Hoping to spend closer to 50 Euros than to 100 Euros.

Can anyone share there experiences, also what is October weather like there?

neler yapıyorsun neden yazmıyorsun?yoksa farkında olmadan birşey mi yaptım.
ben kısa bir tatil yaptım yoktum 10 gün kadar meğer ne çok tatile ihtiyaçım varmış.
seni şimdilik kocaman öpüyorum sevgilerimi gönderiyorum.....

What are you doing? Why do you not write?
Or did I do something without being aware of it?
I took a short holiday,I wasn't there for 10 days apparently I really needed a holiday.(not sure about that)
For now I send huge kisses and am sending you my love.

My try

I agree with your translation "varmiş" just makes "I needed a holiday a little less "definite". imho

Thread: How does Turkish with an American Accent Sound

Can anyone give examples of perhaps music performers or actors that speak Turkish that sounds "American".

For example, I have all of the Pamela Spence music CDs and one of her movies. Her Turkish is a little different than for example Özlem Tekin.

Thanks.

thank u very much x

My attempt.(I am not a native speaker)

"Guys never cry by way of going Ha Ha Laughing Laughing you must designnated a guy's manlyness I am crying."

(The "I am" at the end sounds weird, but that what the Turkish says)

sorry, longinotti

Bir şey değil. (Think nothing of it).

(There are many alterate spelling to my name)

FYI, there is a "modify" button on your own posts
that lets you change your reply without creating a new post or changing its order in the sequence.

(If only Life could be like that!)

Quoting Cengo:

Hi all

Hope you don't mind me learning from your thread

Marion would you mind explaining why one would not say

çantamı annemLE bıraktım

I am easily confused by the usage of endings!

Thank you

Marion is right, your sentence (I believe) would be understood "When With my mother, I left bag". You might intend that, then it would be correct.

Ok everybody, I didn't get a PM so I am feeling left out.

But seriously this is fun but I'm starting a new thread. I want to understand the "sağol" thing and why that would work?

Offffffff! How could you guys hijack a thread like this?
longinotti...on behalf of the "apology" committe, I wish to extend my sincere regrets that your thread was commandeered by this unruly group.

Well, if a picture of the "sneer" had been actually posted that would have still been on topic. I wanted to see the "look".

Thread: Could you translate short sms to turkish please, thank you

I will be at Novum hotel in 2 days. Can I come to have massage in your hotel?

I am not a native speaker, the word order may be awkward, but I think it can be understood.

"iki gün bugünden sonra Novum Otel'de olacağım. Bir masaj için senin otelinde gelebilir miyim?"
