So , the right one is DILEK´IN or Dileg´in as someone of you wrote? , Actually I checked some old notes and in my writings it said that for example Mehmet´s is in writing MEHMED´IN so I must understand then that Proper nouns do not change when written?

And also the possessive/genitive case so it is suffix -IN with the possessor and -I with the possessed item , right? but what happnens if you have many cases of ´s in one sentence like " Elif ´s mother´s brother´s car is green " (exaggerated I know but just to know ) or for example " Elif ´s family´s house isn´t theirs"

My attempt :

" Adi Dilek. O 19 yasinda. Ankara´da yasiyor. Guney Amerika´yi ziyaret etmek ve Ispanyolca ogrenmek istiyor ( I know there is a suffix -IP to " join two verbs or actions that go together, how could I apply that here?) . Dilek´inin kardesi adi  Ahmet. (pretty sure I am missing something here) O 30 yasinda . Annesi guzel ama babasi çok ağırbaşlı ve çok  konusmaz ".

Caliptrix , thank you for providing me that  extra  information plus the examples , it really does help so I know the "context" in which all of the above should be used in , one think that got me thinking is that I had never seen the "seçili" form actually I´d always seen "seçil-MIS " form being used , of course I know all of the above are possible understanding that the meaning is not exactly the same but " slightly"  different.

Hi all , maybe some of you remember me , I used to be a very active user but for personal reasons I was not able to sign in for a long time...

Well now I am trying to remember all the grammar that was on my head but I have some questions I was unable to find answered on my notes or papers related to turkish language...

It´s about the PASSIVE IN TURKISH , I know you  can form it by using /-il /- l or -N  / (right?) depending on the case now my specific questions:

In this example:

" The chosen song " would this be " seçilmis sarki  " or " seçilmis OLAN  sarki " or any of them is actually correct?

Now how can I say " I liked THE CHOSEN song " ??

and also if I want to say

" I liked the song that was chosen" how could I build these structures with the verb in passive?

I am from one if not the most seismical country on Earth : Chile. We have big eartquakes in the north of the country every 5 years and the big one ever recorded was in my parents hometown : Valdivia it was 9,5 richter scale...YES 9,5 ! and the city was absoluitely destroyed, minutes after this a huge tsunami destroyed all the things that the eartquake hadn't demaged. My grandmother told me the story, she ran to the hills , she was 5 months pregnant , my father was 8 years old and he tells me that his house fell off , people were crying thinking that it was the end of the world , all was desperation and the movement seemed never come to a stop ....this happened in 1960 , you can see images in youtube . Thousands of people died, the same in Santiago, my city in 1985 , I was 2 years old, dont remember anything but we survived and right now we have tremors everyweek but thank God we have no sea here so we are safe from a Tsunami.

Schools try to create a "eartquake" conscience since we are 4 or 5 years old. They taught me how to react and what to do in case of Eartquake but NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY TAUGHT ME , everytime I have a small eartquake or a tremor I panic!!!! because you never now if this is only a tremor or could become something else ...
I am chilean, I got used to live with them and I suppose most chileans , peruvians and people who live in the Pacific side like japanese , got used to the as well, in spite of this , I wouldnt change where I was born ...It was blessed with wonderful nature, from deserts to antarctica, all in one land...
A good thing is that nature constantly reminds you that you ARE NOTHING! just a humble creature that in case of natural disaster remembers how weak life is ...!

Konusmasan and konusMAZsan are by no means the same thing , it must be something difficult within turkish grammar because even some turkish native speakers find it hard to explain or to notice the difference.
If I have further questions regarding the same topic, I hope you can help me because I am sure most learners struggle with this "gelse - gelirse" or turkish "conditional" tense .

Yes, I am sure there are many threads related to turkish conditionals but I will try to help you while someone can find them for you.

First of all, the Turkish Present Conditional.
The particle " eger" reinforces the conditional so you should add it.

" If you study , you will learn turkish "
"Eger çalisirsan , Turkçeyi ogreneceksin "

The verb study is "çalismak" so you take the
"çalis " part then add suffix "-ir" which shows the "condition" and then the turkish conditional suffix for the 2nd person singular -"san " of course, following vowel harmony.

Another example :
" If she calls me , I will help her "
"Eger beni ararsa , ona yardim edecegim "

Verb call is "aramak" you do the same process again and add the turkish conditional suffix for the 3rd person singular which is "-sa" according to our sentence.

Now the same sentences in negative :

" If you dont study , you wont learn turkish"
"Eger çalismazsan , Turkçeyi ogrenmeyeceksin "

(The -Maz" part is the aorist tense suffix in negative )

" If she doesnt call me , I won't help her "
"Eger beni aramazsa , ona yardim etmeyecegim "

For example ,

And are these sentences correct? In the case they are, could they have the same meaning?

Well, I think learning foreign languages really expends your thoughts as it allows you to know another cultures deeper and also ways of thinking , point of views , traditions etc and yes, I think the more languages you know, the more culture you get !!
As for english language , everybody uses it BUT not everybody can write good english so I also congratulate all turkish users who write amazingly , considering the fact that for many of them, it wasn't easy to learn english due to the differences in grammar and structure with turkish...

Yes, turkish is easy to learn WHEN YOU GRASP its unique "logic" and the way the sentences are built but at the beginning, it looks very "strange" for someone whose mother tongue is spanish , english etc.
I read it was similar to finnish in structure but I am not sure of this.
As someone told me once "Turkish is like putting Lego Pieces together" and I agree ...
I love this language because Turkish is the perfect language for analytic minds like mine hehe

But now that I understand how it works, they seem VERY LOGICAL! and I can really say :

In the Tournament's first match , he did the only game (trick?) that he knew.

Rakibi gafil avlanmıstı.
The Rival was caught unawared.
Çocuk rakibini eledi.
The boy eliminated the rival.

Daha sonraki maclarda , çeyrek final ve yarı final maclarında netice degismedi.
In the subsequent games, the quarterfinal and the half-final the result didnt change.

Bizim çocuk bildigi tek oyunu macın basında yapıyor ve macları kazanıyordu.
Our boy did the only trick that he knew and won the games.
Çocuk kendisi de sasırmıstı bu ise.
The boy was also surprised of himself for this work.
Usta hic bir sey söylemiyordu.
The master was not saying anything.

Final macı geldi.
The Final match came
Rakip gercekten usta, kusursuz bir judocu idi.
The rival was really a master , he was a flawless Judoist.

Çocuk Ustasının yanına kostu.
The boy ran beside his master.
“Bu rakibe karsi hic sansım yok Usta” dedi.
" I have no chance against this rival Master" he said.
“Bu maca hic cıkmasam daha iyi olacak”
" It will be better if I dont go to this match"

“Hayır” dedi Usta.
"No" said the Master.
“Maca cıkacak, dövüsecek ve gücün yetmezse serefin ile yenileceksin”
"You will go to the match , will fight and if it's not enough you will be defeated with honor"

Bizim çocuk, baslama gongu ile beraber rakibine daldi.

Bildigi tek oyunu uyguladı.
He carried out the only trick that he knew.
O da ne? Rakip yerde, bizim çocuk galipti.

After the game , the boy ran to his master.

Usta gülümsedi “Bir defa, sen bu oyunu o kadar cok çalıstın ki bu oyunda senden üstün kimse yok” dedi.
The master smiled. "Once , you studied that trick so much that in this trick there's no one superior to you" He said.

“ Ikincisi, senin oyununa karsı tek bir savunma var, onda da rakibin senin sol kolunu tutabilmesi gerekiyor”

I came out with something like :

"In the second , there's only one defense against your game ----He had to be able to hold your left arm!! "

I think "Yilmaz" is one of the most common last names in Turkey such as the latin last names "González" or "Pérez " which are very very common

All about - buyurun - "Please be so kind..."
buyurun - or the more formal - buyurunuz - is a widely used word in Turkish. There are many translations in English according to context.

It is the second person Singular or Plural of the Simple Present tense of the verb - buyurmak - which basically means: Would you be so kind as to...
Literally: Would you deign to.. to command.. to decree.. to make an order..

All or any of these meanings can be applied according to context - and in fact this word has become a sort of universal polite request, plea ar command, and is in constant daily use in all areas of Turkish life. A sort of catch-all word for most situations..

It is a very important word to learn and use.

Let us consider how it is used:
When calling on someone's house and they say -
buyurun it means - Please come in...

When they point to a chair -
buyurun - Please sit down...

When they serve tea -
buyurun - Please drink and enjoy...

On entering a shop the shopkeeper may say -
buyurun efendim - meaning - Can I help you, sir?..

In a restaurant or cafe when the waiter or bar man says -
buyurun -it means - What would you like?..

In many busy places markets, souvenir shops, cafes etc. there is often a professional "barker" who will be saying to all passers by -
buyurun - Come and buy...

If in a cafe you ask to see what food is being prepared in the kitchen (normal in Turkey) then the answer would be -
buyurun - meaning in this case - Of course you may...!

When answering the telephone you say -
buyurun meaning - I'm listening to your call...

When passing people in narrow places or entering lifts etc. -
buyurun - means - After you..!

This subject REALLY interests me! but for a chilean person like me, It is very complicated to understand because of many factors like geographical reasons , lack of clear information - The TV news in Latin America mostly support the USA Point of View on foreign affairs!- ... I did some research and was reading about Kurdish people's history, background, what they are asking for , something about PKK however, I think only informed people can give their opinion on sush a sensitive topic !!!!!! I dont feel I have enough knowledge to give my opinion, however, I know a very nice kurdish guy and he is trying to explain the "Kurdish version" of this conflict and...I feel so sorry for kurdish INNOCENT people, they say most kurds are very peaceful people and just want to live peacefully together as brothers but also told me about the hard times when kurdish language was banned , when he could not study in his mother tongue and many other things, the story of his people REALLY AFFECTED ME , you cant imagine...!!! they want to be independent from Turkey, they want to have their land and govern themselves, I think this is never going to happen and I just hope no more innocent people suffer because of this... I just try to understand BOTH sides...hard task!!!

I perceive, however, that most turkish people respect kurds , some consider them as "brothers" as I pointed out but of course, there must be many who consider kurds nothing but a problem ...I wonder, do most kurds consider themselves as "Kurdish" or "Kurdish but part of Turkish nation" ...do their aspirations have ANY chance to come into reality in the future? do their aspirations have ANY VALIDITY??

Negative: Aorist Tense negative + personal suffix
" I wouldnt come " = Gel+MEZ+IM

conditional past tense positive
" I would have come" = Gel + ir + dim
conditional past tense negative
" I wouldnt have come"= Gel + mez + dim

That's why Prym wrote :
" yapmazdın " yap + maz + din This means:
